About the Men's Team

The Men's Team competes in the Mid Atlantic Collegiate Fencing Association (MACFA) against 14 other Colleges and Universities. As one of the 4 non-varsity (club) fencing teams in MACFA, we consistently place very well in all three weapons. Each year we field a full Epee, Foil, and Sabre team to compete during the season and in the MACFA Championships. Each weapon team is comprised of three members and one alternate, which are chosen from the best fencers in the club in a fence off before each meet. In both the 95-96 and 96-97 seasons, we held the Virginia Cup, and in 97-98 Nat Burke took first in the epee championships and Kadircan Abali took sixth in foil championships.
