Members' Minutes

Newbie Lessons:
On Monday, the Treasurer will be taking orders for gloves.  Please stop by to order your glove, even if you can't stay for the whole lesson.  Classes are progressing.  If you are in the newbie class, and can't make a lesson, talk to one of the officers about making up lessons.

Junior Olympic Qualifiers:
If you were born during or after 1984, you are eligible to go to Junior Olympic Qualifiers.  We are encouraging all those eligible to go to do so.  Talk to the Vice President, or any of the officers if you are interested.

Women's Tournament:
A women's tournament is scheduled for 9/20.  the Gym opens at 9:00, Registration closes at 9:30, and fencing begins at 10 am.  It will be very informal, however, the last place finisher will be used in a stew.

New Fonts:
New fonts have been implemented to help those of us with aging eyes, and for people with poor point control.

Officers' Minutes

Lost Officers Update:
Our Historian was M.I.A. for a period of time.  Luckily he's been found, and now we can continue with life as usual.

Fundraising:
Many fundraising ideas are being researched.  Ideas include have Subway sponsor events, running track meets, breaking into Fort Knox, and hosting at Pizza Hut.

Vans:
If you will be checking the vans out, and are unclear on the procedure for checking them out, and the paperwork required, wait until the last minute, then access the information from the Vice President Telepathically.  If your Telepathy skills are lacking, then you'll have to talk to him prior to getting the vans.

NIWFA:
Champs is set for March 6, but we still don't know where.  The women's team is currently deciding whether to accept an invitation to join a sweetbrier/Stevens match, at sweetbrier on January 24.  A possible meet will be held on November 8, at JHU.

MACFA:
Since champs was run so well last year, it will again be held at Stevens.  dates for the VA cup and first MACFA meet has been set.  Incidentally, we still haven't received results from last year's champs.
