My Monologue:

Congratulations to Austin who got his D in epee last weekend at the Halloween open!

The results from the JMU ratings rally were finally posted, and medalists (8^th and under) from VTFC are as follows:

I told you we did great!!!  Congratulations to the medalists and to everyone else who participated!

If you run into anyone from the men’s team wish them luck for the MACFA tournament this weekend.  We’re going to need it!  Also just a reminder that you need to have your gear checked out by tonight if you need any for the tournament this weekend.  Don’t forget to get your team socks from Laura as well.

Women’s team tryouts are next week.  Foil is on Monday and saber and epee are on Wednesday.  We have plenty of spaces open for each weapon so you have no reason not to come and tryout!  Plus, who would turn down perfectly good strip time?

Due to the lack of turnout for the canned food drive we’re asking that you all bring in a few cans to practice.  The cans will be going to the Montgomery County Food Bank and anything is much appreciated especially this time of year.

Social Events:

There are no official dates set for social events currently, but there is talk of going ice skating after Thanksgiving break.

Fund Raising:
Keep selling the tickets!!!  The 50/50 raffle will be held at the Tech Open.
