MACFA/NIWFA Results
February and hectic schedule for the team is finally over.
Congratulations to both teams for doing very well last weekend. The next team
event isn’t until April 2nd when we travel to
Yearbook Pictures
All current members please show up to Litton Reeves today (Tuesday,
March 1st) at 7:00 for yearbook photos. Wear your fencing jacket
(the attractive orange, white, and maroon one) or a fencing t-shirt if you have
one.
Beginner Lessons + Blue Gauntlet
Beginner lessons have been extended one extra week. This is mostly due
to the fact that Blue Gauntlet has failed to provide us with our glove order in
any reasonable amount of time. Unfortunately this is indicative of the quality
of service BG provides. As a club we have decided that we will no longer
purchase anything from BG and we also recommend that anyone reading this doesn’t
either. You can expect a more detailed description of the problems we and
other clubs and individuals have had to be sent to the listserv at some point
in the near future.
Elections and Amendments
The annual meeting will be held soon after the beginner’s lessons
are finished. We will elect officers for next year and vote on proposed
amendments. Online nominations of officers will begin March 16th
and end March 22nd. Nominations and proposed amendments are sent to
the listserv. Any current member can nominate any other eligible current
member. The nominee must accept or decline the nomination by responding to the
listserv. Online voting (if you can’t make the meeting in person to
vote) will begin March 23rd and end March 30th. Jen
Webster will be acting as a neutral 3rd party to collect online
votes (so votes are emailed to her and NOT to the listserv).
Social
Events:
There is a pizza/movie night at Megan’s place this Friday March 4th
at 6:30.
