Officer Nights:

Officer nights are permanently as follows:
Monday:         Anne, Austin, James
Tuesday:         Austin, Christina
Wednesday:   Anne, Melinda, Sarah
Thursday:       James, Melinda, Sarah
Friday:            Paul, (Rotation) this week = Austin

I will update the bulletin board tonight.

 

Beginners Lessons:

Hey! Old Folks! (i.e. returning members)  Please show up on Mondays and Wednesdays to help out and pass on your experience to the new group.  We all want them to be just like you…  Really, I mean it  ; )

 

Men’s Team:

Men’s Team Tryouts will be on the first week of October.  If you want to try out, you must have paid dues.  More info to come.

 

Equipment:

Return any and all Equipment to the equipment room.  It must be checked in!

 

Club Advisor:

Jesse Richardson, our club advisor last year has taken a year’s worth of leave.  We are currently looking into finding a new advisor.

 

Tech Open T-Shirts:

We decided to go with the one shirt design showing the differences in the way a fencer of the different weapons looks at a problem. ( screwing in a light bulb, I think….)

 

Clinic:

Remember to register for the clinic before October 1^st to get the cheaper rate.  This clinic is definitely going to be worth your time.

September 10-11         CFA Youth Challenge (Charlotte, NC)

September 17-18         Kickoff Open

September 23-25         Social: Ren Fest Pirate’s Weekend (and possibly waterskiing…)

October 1-2                 Referee clinic with George K. (TBA, VA)

October 7-8                 Div II/Youth/Cadet NAC (Miami, FL)

October 16-17             Fencing Clinic

October 23                  Virginia Cup (the first Men’s Team meet)

 

 Officer Meetings are held on Mondays at 6:00pm in the Ground Floor of Payne Hall.  Everyone is welcome to attend.
