New Fencers, don’t miss practice or we’ll set the Sabre squad after you.  Old Folks, show up and help out with the lessons, it makes them so much better when we can get people into groups.

VIWFA Champs:
This should theoretically be on Feb. 19th.  But currently we don’t have a venue, so cross you’re fingers, and pray!  (or chant or howl, depending on your religious background)Right Now I believe we are looking into UVA hosting, we’ll see.

MACFA Last Weekend:
The Men's Team did very well last Weekend, we won three of our meets and lost two, and the Epee Team went
Undefeated!

MACFA Champs:
The MACFA Championship tournament has been rescheduled for St. Johns college in Annapalis.  The format for the Main part of the tournament is the same but the format for individuals has changed.  It will now be:

“A direct elimination of 8 fencers. Take up 4 from A, 3 from B and 1 from C. The seeding would be A strip 1-4, B strip 5-7 and C strip seeded 8. Awards given to 1,2 and two third place medals for the semifinalists in the individual competition. In addition, medals would be given to the first three places on the A, B, and C strips.”
