“Just the Facts, Ma’am”

"The word 'politics' is derived from the word 'poly', meaning 'many', and the word 'ticks', meaning 'blood sucking parasites'."
-Larry Hardiman

.

Online Nominations:
Nominations have really taken off in an almost frenzied manner, we have averaged 3.86 nominations per office.  Many positions are contested unlike some years in the past.  A full list of the eligible and accepted nominees will be sent out after nomination close Monday.

Biannual Meeting:
The Biannual meeting will be Monday March 13th  at the meeting we will vote for a new officer corps and go over any possible constitution changes.  If you would like to submit any constitutional changes please email me, Sarge.  Online nominations for new officers have begun, and will continue until noon Monday, March 6th.

Legacy Files:
We are now working on the Legacy Files, basically records of how we did everything we've done this year for other people to look at in the future.

Equipment Complaints:
There have been some complaints as to the availability and quantity of some equipment, specifically Sabre Electrics, and Foil weapons.  We should be making an order shortly to correct immediate shortages, and then another later in the year for less pressing needs.

MACFA Champs:
We got the Sportsmanship Award!

Results:
The Results from the MACFA season and SAC are up online at http://www.fencing.org.vt.edu/results.html

Alumni Tournament:
The Alumni Tournament will now be on Saturday April 15th, we can foresee no conflicts with this date.

Wash the Whites Day:
Friday March 24th is now officially Wash the Whites Day, the officers and any volunteers will be meeting up in War to Wash all of the whites.  Its time to get rid of the years worth of grime and sweat they've collected.
