USACFC:
April 3-4, all of our teams, men?s and women?s, will be heading to New Hampshire for the conference. We are intending to leave Friday morning, and return Sunday evening/Monday morning. The club has decided to foot the bill for a charter bus (this is big money kids, but happy fencers are very worth it), however, this means that each person will have to pay for his/her hotel room. We?re guessing about $20-25 a person.
Annual Meeting:
Online nominations will be open March 1-10, on the listserve. This is a change from the last minutes. The annual meeting will be held during practice on Wednesday, March 17. If you cannot make it to the meeting, you will have an opportunity to cast your vote via email. We will also be voting on proposed changes to the constitution at the meeting, but you will not be able to vote on those changes online. If you are nominated, you have until the end of the nomination period to accept or decline over the listserve. If you would like to cast your vote over email, you will need to send the information to Jen Lin at jelin@vt.edu. She will bring the votes to the meeting where they will be tallied with the votes of the attending members. If you choose to vote online, you must get the email to Jen by noon on March 16.
Fundraising:
We?ll be starting a 50-50 raffle on March 1st ? more info on that to come. We still have some Pizza Hut cards, and the club will be selling them, 10$ a piece for the next few weeks. Each card entitles the bearer to 18 free pizzas (one each time you purchase one) Cards will be distributed by Paul (our illustrious armorer) and it?s important to mention to people that you sell them to that Pizza Hut rarely, if ever, actually punches the cards, so essentially you could get A LOT of free pizza.
Men?s Team:
Results are sort of posted for JHU. We have to track down some more. Check out the website.
MACFA:
The possible meet scheduled for Feb. 22 is off. Unmark your calendars.
MACFA Champs:
On February 29th we will be hosting Champs, and we need LOTS of help from YOU. We?re still ref hunting. We?ll have a sign up sheet available at practice. We?re looking for walkit-talkies to stream-line the whole gig, so if you have a pair we could use, let an officer know.
Women?s Team:

Feb. 21, Sweetbriar ? this Saturday we?ll be setting out from War at 8:00. be there at 7:30. Make sure you check out gear tonight. For more info, see Laura?s email.
March 7, Champs ? FDU
Our ladies will leave Friday around 1:00-1:30 for a nine hour drive up to Jen Lin?s. We?ll be chilling out in NY Saturday, fencing Sunday and heading back Sunday night, maybe Monday morning.
