NIWFA Champs, Spring 2004

Every year the women travel to NIWFA Champs to fence women from other colleges and universities. For Spring 2004, it was held at Farleigh-Dickinson University (FDU). Granted, it was a long trip, but everyone seemed to enjoy themselves at least a little bit! We had multiple people make it to Individuals, and Jen Lin placed in foil (as would be assumed ;)).

Despite their goofiness, the saber team did well. Jamie dominated the C-strip and did well enough to go on to Individuals. (Yes, we have a third saberist...it's just hard to take a picture of myself fencing) ;)

Epee did well also; both Krista and Michelle made it to Individuals! I bet you could never guess who either of these fencers are! Oh wait...it's Krista and Michelle! yay!

Ah, good 'ol foil. Jen Lin of course made it to Individuals and got a medal! We love our Jen! Jen W. suffered the pain of losing a close friend (i.e. her foil), but at least she had the energy to jump in the air!

Of course, we had to eat and help each other out as well! Even throw in a bit of a nap at the end of the day, and you've got a successful tournament!
