Front page: I removed the "Summer Fencing" stuff I put up with "Fall Beginner Demo & Lessons"... seemed appropriate. Haven't had much time lately for updates.

Front page: Doug made a few cool graphics for the website and I had to put at least one up right now! Since its the 30th year anniversary of the club, we should celebrate!
Links: Since none of the officers actually got back to me on which links to put up, I just went ahead and put up something. At least these links actually work.
2008_2009: Updated some stuff. Could really use the original USACFC photos from vtfc_photos....

Officer Pages: The old officer pages that I installed as a stub were grossly incomplete (and very ugly). Today I spent a few hours re-designing the Officer template and updating each year. There are a few people I don't have pictures for yet, but eventually I'm sure I'll find something.

Katie = Awesome: Katie gave me a bunch of stuff to update back in Jan., but for various reasons I hadn't gotten around to it.

Main Page: The front page has the dates for Beginner's lessons posted and the day, time, and location of officer meetings has been changed.

The Past: I gave up on trying to put all the minutes in a folder and just give everyone read access to it, so now there's a folder of 2008-2009 minutes with an ugly little index page. I'll fill in the last two years worth of minutes (which should be everything that's missing) and then work on making the past pages a little better looking.

Member List: Alright, I updated the new makeshift Member List, and being that it was so awesome (I added lots of info and pictures!), I officially turned it into the actual Member's List. Yes, yes, I'm awesome.
Though I still do need a good number of the members in the club to email me their information...

Member List: Started the new MEMBER LIST, but it seriously lacks information... and I don't remember how to actually check and see who's filled out the Risk form or not. I'll have one of the officers do that.

Help the Website!: Even with the hours and hours I put in, the website still needs a lot of work. I posted this page so that anybody in the VTFC will be able to help, if they care to.

Hosting Problems: Restored the Mens Team page from the 11.07.08 backup. Added Men's & Women's squad captains selections.
Overhaul: I started overhauling the site... you should notice quite a few changes already (including the obvious announcement picture on the main page). Some pictures from my personal collection were posted, as well as some hiding within the filebox itself. Some corrections were made to scheduling. Overall, I spent quite a number of hours overhauling this tonight... but do keep in mind that this is a massive work in progress. Any assistance would be much obliged (from picture donation to HTML, if anyone out there in VTFC land knows it anymore).
Backup #2: Felt it was prudent to back up the website again, since I pretty much cleaned out/reorganized everything inside, to include all the redundant files & folders.

Hosting Problems: I tried to update the team pages with schedules but for some reason the server didn't save my work when I pushed "save & exit". Maybe next time I should put it in a text file first so I don't lose the work . . . Also, the women's team page has now replaced the men's team page? I'll fix it over the next day. I did manage to fix a few dates, etc. in the main schedule though.

Website Copy: Before I actually started - seriously - changing around stuff, I wanted to make a full copy of the website, just in case. This entailed getting WebDrive, which meant actually going onto campus and blah blah blah... anyhow, the copy has been made. They'll be some noticeable changes in the next few days.

Results: Re-organized results page and added in a placer file for each of the 3 years or so that absolutely nothing got added to website. Put in the most recent results of the Tech Open into our year of 2008-2009. Also removed the Tech Open announcement from the main page.

Past Years/pictures: Alright, I've been working on re-organizing the photos n' such for previous years and have, in fact, caught up to what we currently already have on the site (wow, all that work to catch up to where we started!). However, it looks much better. When I backup the website and add some more stuff in, I'll officially switch it over for everyone to enjoy. If you have pictures to contribute, that'd be awesome! ^_~

Past Years/pictures: I decided to begin re-organizing everything. Instead of having an old pictures page which never gets updated, I'll put in individual past academic years pages with pictures, officer/team lists, and tournament results all included in one section. Snapshot of a year, so-to-speak. Each year will have its own page. Here's the prototype. It's mostly just the basics so far, I'll work on making them pretty (and more complete) in the future. Then I'll go in and do each of the other years with the same template. It'll make it super-easy to go through the years with the appropriate nostalgia :P

Main Page: Posted some announcements and removed the beginner lessons info. I was going to have a very lovely, stylized picture and tryout information section on the main page. Unfortunately I lost all of the coding right before it was saved... So now the front page has information, but isn't very pretty ~_~ It's too late right now to fix it, but I promise I will in the next day or two.

Main Page: Posted the dates for Team Tryouts on the main page.
Event Schedule: Changed the NIFWA location from Drew to Rutgers (not Michelle's mistake). Confirmed that the MACFA site makes my eyes hurt. Thinking of buying Dreamweaver to edit the site faster.

Event Schedule: fixed a mistake or two... also changed around some of the links that the events take you to. Apparently I can do much better than the VA division website. Also, the MACFA webmaster has got to be colorblind... or a sadist.

Updated front page: re-arranged demo/lesson info. Demo info removed, replaced with Assumption of Risk info.
Navigation: again, more stuff you probably won't notice. All pages now contain the same basic frame. Also added "Website Updates" to the Archives section of the Nav. bar.
Event Calendar: hasn't been working for a while. Seems like too much work to fix it right now, so I am removing the link to the programming and will decide later whether or not I want to re-make it.
Event Schedule We now have a preliminary schedule for MACFA, VIWFA/NIWFA, USACFC, and USFA tournaments. This took an UNBELIEVABLY long time to put in, mostly because writing tables in HTML sucks. So appreciate ... appreciate!!! Also, I put the strictly-MACFA listing that *was* there, into the Men's team page. Seemed more appropriate.

Updated front page: now includes Demo & Free Lessons picture/information... seemed a bit appropriate, considering our demo/newbie lessons begin in a few days.
Constitution page: there was some lousy coding on the constitution page, but I cleaned most of it up. In the future I may go in and put in a table of contents or something.
Navigation: You won't notice much of a difference, but just for the programming geeks out there.... there is some inconsistent programming concerning our navigation/frame on each page. Some are tied to a frame-type deal, others merely have redundant programming within each page. I've started going through all of the pages to eliminate the redundancy, but in that process I will also, at the bottom of each page, cite the date of when that particular page was last updated. Really it's just designed to keep the viewer informed on just how old the information they're looking at is.

Created the Website Updates page -- all updates shall be recorded here. Placed a notice-link on the main page to direct here. Fabulous, no?
Updated the Officer page. Now it has pictures that work for almost everybody. If you don't have a picture, or don't like the one you have, you should send me one so that I can put it up.
Fixed the Men's Team page. Apparently the mens team is comprised of the constitution. This is fixed. Also, cleared the team listing for both teams, since its 2008 and we haven't chosen anyone for teams yet.
Compressed down the Results page, since I don't think we really need to pay special of attention to the two *most recent* years of '04-05 and '05-06. Eventually I'll reformat the entire page and add in results of the last few years, as I get them.
Things I plan on updating in the next few weeks/months: complete the members page (with pictures, if possible), add newer pictures to the pictures page, fix event calendar, results, minutes, and work on a personal project of mine: Virtual YearBooks.
